Understanding Facebook Page Insights

Do you have a Facebook Page?

A “page” on Facebook is used for promoting a business, a service or even a non-profit organization.  Your “profile” on Facebook is about you and connecting to your friends and family. According to Facebook’s Terms and Conditions, you are not allowed to promote your business on your personal profile page.

So if you have a Facebook Page you can use Facebook’s Page Insights to optimize your page’s performance and to learn all kinds of great information about who is visiting your page, what the demographics of your audience is, and what type of content your audience likes the most. Since a Facebook Page is used to promote a business, this is very valuable information to know!

 According to Facebook…

“Businesses will be better in a connected world. That’s why
we connect 800M people and their friends to the things they
care about, using social technologies that drive business
growth. Pages are where you connect with people.”

With Facebook Page Insights, you can:

  •   Understand the performance of your Page;
  •   Learn which content resonates with your audience; and
  •   Optimize how you publish to your audience so that people will tell their friends about you.
